Week of September 3rd

 

MONDAY- LABOR DAY- NO SCHOOL

FRIDAY- SENIOR CLASS MEETING- SENIOR CLASS PICTURE

I co-teach with Mrs. Schlein Periods 3 and 5, Intensive Reading 7.  I will also be teaching with Miss Zangari during period 6B, English 8

*Please note that all assignments listed are the lessons/assignments that are completed during class. If a student is absent or not able to complete the assignment in class, it will become homework.



Period 1- English Literature 9-12
Daily Starter Journal
The Invisible Man: Read chapters 2-4 and complete the related vocab. and comprehension activities.


Period 2- English 9-12
Daily Vocab Journal
Daily Language Review
Lesson 2 and 3 of Steck-Vaughn Spelling/Vocab. 


Period 7- Current Events 7-8 
Scholastic News: Lava Alert, Read, watch feature videos for magazine articles for this week, complete related vocab. and comprehension activities


Period 8- Current Events 9-12
Republican Herald Newspaper, Newsela articles and CNN 10 video/transcripts will be used to discuss current events locally, nationally, and globally.

Week of August 27th

Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!!!!!

MONDAY- 7th Grade students report to auditorium upon arrival
All grade levels will attend homeroom first in the morning and then move on to following their daily schedule.
TUESDAY- Class meetings will take place during specified class periods. Students will be called to the auditorium
WEDNESDAY- MEET THE TEACHER 5-7pm
FRIDAY- DISTRICT WIDE PEP RALLY 1:45

*This week we will review classroom routines and expectations for the classes listed below Students will begin learning the routines in each classroom for assignment completion.  We will also use this opportunity to discuss school policies, routines, and procedures.
