Period 7- Current Events 7-8 
Scholastic News: Going for the Gold, ReadWorks: Winter,  and  Geography Spin
Read and review materials together, complete related vocab. and comprehension activities.

Period 8- Current Events 9-12
Channel One News- Students view Channel One News Daily, classroom discussion points occur daily based on current news topics within the newscast, Word of the Day focus within each newscast; Weekly News Portfolio completion
FRIDAY- 5 Question multiple choice quiz on this week's newscasts
