Scholastic News: Paw Prints, Fossil Find Watch, Switzerland view feature videos and complete related vocab. and comprehension activities

Period 8- Current Events 9-12
Channel One News- Students view Channel One News Daily, classroom discussion points occur daily based on current news topics within the newscast, Word of the Day focus within each newscast; Weekly News Portfolio completion
Friday: 5 question multiple choice quiz on daily newscasts

Review for Test, Test Tuesday.  On Wednesday-Friday students will watch the movie related to the text in order to complete a movie/book compare/contrast activity.

Up with Language Series: Capitalization; Focus this week-(Special Names, Greetings, Closings, Proper Adjectives, Direct Quotations, First Word- Poetry, and Outlines)

Period 7- Current Events 7-8
Seasons Under the Sun: Autumn (Discovery Education) and Brainpop: Autumn Leaves and Seasons, view feature videos and complete related vocab. and comprehension activities

Period 8- Current Events 9-12
